Dr. Corey Castillo began his career as a Personal Trainer. Shortly after, he began leading a team of established fitness professionals. At every turn, Corey reflected on his approach to driving collective success via individual development. This was the beginning of his leadership career. As time passed, Corey led larger and more complex teams. He began to replicate his approach to developing strategy (the “what & how”) and influencing culture (the “who & why”) by coaching other leaders in their ability to link talent and operations for optimized value and organizational performance.
After successfully leading within the Health & Fitness industry and completing his doctorate (Ed.D.) in Organizational Leadership, Corey expanded his leadership practice to a variety of fields, leading team bases as large as 500 members and with revenue responsibilities exceeding $100M. He enhanced business performance for various organizations across multiple industries including Health & Fitness, Corporate Philanthropy, Professional Services, Healthcare, and Law, in roles such as Chief Operating Officer, Head of Development & Operations, Strategic Consultant, and Executive Coach. In each chapter of leadership, Corey successfully delivered results (in both revenue and market impact) by creating competitive value, building efficiency at scale, and developing resilient cultures.
Corey believes that leadership is far simpler than most allow it to be and that when leaders care for their tribe, their tribe cares for their constituents. His influential leadership style aligns the power of people (talent), process (operations), and product (value) to deliver an unmatched experience to all stakeholders, in a fashion that is simple, sustainable, and scalable. He believes that, with trust, autonomy earns accountability, and freedom earns focus. Corey strives to champion high-performing team cultures with an unwavering dedication to the leadership values of vision, trust, service, alignment, and decisive action.
Corey believes in creating value by showing up for others. He believes in honoring others’ trust by serving them with excellence and breeding reciprocity. Whether as a husband, a friend, a leader, a business partner, or any other role he may hold, Corey strives to act as Chief Value Officer within all of his relationships.
